Ospreys Tackle / Army Day
Today was a scheduled visit to Neath TA Centre to have an introduction to the Army Service, their History and an explanation as to how they operate.
Learners took part in structured activities on a rota, to various activity stations, with three other schools. These activities were made to give examples similar to Army training and explanation of what could be expected as a new recruit.
The activities encouraged participation and teamwork, as well as communication and leadership skills, also building confidence as they worked through the day.
CCYD also met pupils from Cwm Brombil School, Bryntirion and Maes Glas. The day encouraged inter school collaboration, which was enjoyable to see.
Thank you to the Ospreys Employability Staff and Army/ Cadet staff who helped facilitate and organise the day. CCYD pupils very much appreciated and enjoyed the day. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
