Techniquest Trip
The whole of year 7 had the opportunity to visit Techniquest in Cardiff today. The trip was kindly arranged by the Maths department to find out about the application of Maths in the world outside of school.
We were lucky enough to find out about the application of Maths in Magic using probability as well as addition, subtraction etc.
Also a talk from a previous resident of Ogmore Vale who now works at Techniquest as an application of Maths advisor to Techniquest who advised us how Maths works in Businesses such as in the beauty industry.
The learners also enjoyed the equipment and experience of being out from school with their peers. Thank you to the staff that attended and Techniquest for allowing us to visit.
