Ospreys Tackle Project at CCYD
Tackle pupils had a slightly different session this week. The pupils were asked to create a presentation based on a topic of debate, that was picked at the beginning of the lesson. Pupils were split into two groups but were asked to work individually on the topics. The pupils then presented their work to each other in their groups and began to understand the importance of communication and explaining their feelings on the relevant topics in a sensible way. All pupils completed this successfully and moved onto the second session. This was also something slightly different. The pupils were asked to complete a challenge in pairs, of designing a paper plane with the objective of the best long/straight flight. Pupils researched the designs and competed. One of the pupils in the winning group had previously been debating engineering as a career, so it was very professionally done. Great team work and effort today from the Tackle pupils.
Thank you to Kyle Tucker who delivered the session, from the Ospreys in the Community staff, who will be taking part in the “Ride2 Rugby” next week with his colleagues and fundraising for the community projects that he and his team support.
CCYD pupils have been selling raffle tickets and presented their money raised to Kyle, at the end of the session.
Diolch yn fawr iawn.
