Leadership + Programme
Ogmore Vale Halo Centre was the venue today for the first of our Leadership + visits out to test the coaching skills practiced by the CCYD group so far this term.
We were introduced to the manager Jordan who spoke to the learners regarding the AYPD qualification as a past local pupil who had been involved on the course himself when in school. He then showed the learners the gym equipment on which they were given a chance to test out their fitness and practice on, before meeting younger learners from Ogmore Vale Primary School from year four.
A circuit of activity was created and the junior school learners were able to take part in the games created by CCYD learners. The pictures show that this was a success, also that all were able to take part.
Thank you to all the staff in Halo and AYPD that were on hand to support us this afternoon. It was a pleasure to see everyone with focus and enthusiasm for the activities.
