CCYD TACKLE PROJECT – BRECON
Today we visited the Army Museum in Brecon. We were invited to visit as part of Remembrance Week with Remembrance Day this Sunday on 12th November.
Learners were given a detailed history into the Welsh Guards and their service over the years. They were provided with details of the army and their roles fulfilled over the years also detailed through the 1st and 2nd world war.
The memorabilia in the museum is comprehensive and some items of rarity are displayed as well as learners being allowed to try on different types of uniform from different regiments. This was a rare opportunity and learners eagerly took up the activity trying on the uniform with an explanation of each item and its purpose.
A huge thank you to Ospreys Tackle and the Army for a unique and privileged incite to a vast provision that we sometimes take for granted and thanks to them for their service and support.
