TACKLE PROJECT YEAR 9
Year nine learners from the Tackle group with year ten Rugby Leaders attended the Junior School Beach festival in Rest Bay today.
All were invited to support, first by a beach clean with marking out pitches. Next, by using and developing their refereeing skills for the touch rugby games, over the course of the day.
The primary schools involved were Porthcawl, Trelales, Coychurch, Bryncethin, Nantymoel, Ogmore Vale, Pen-y- Fai and Afon -y- Felin.
It was a misty start, but the weather cleared and the games ran very smoothly. We are proud of the enthusiasm of our learners who took part. This was the first refereeing outing for year nine and an eye opener to how tricky this can be to please everybody!
A huge thank you to all learners, parents and staff supporting the day. It was a huge team effort.
