UK INTERNATIOINAL CHAMPIONSHIPS TANG-SOO-DO
May 3rd 2025 saw the UK International Championships for Tang-soo-do in Cardiff. Representing their club in Bryncethin was Sophia Lewis and Ava Hitchings from CCYD School. The girls were very successful on the day and won a combination of gold and silver medals. Sophia won 3 gold medals for weapons, forms and sparring, she is now Junior under 16 Grand Champion. Ava won 2 silver medals for forms and weapons, in addition this is Ava’s first competition as a black belt after achieving this level approximately two weeks ago. Both girls have said that Tang-soo-do is for all ages and abilities, their coach is Megan Lewis, no relation to Sophia. Congratulations to both girls on their achievements, CCYD are very proud of you both.
