CCYD visit Ospreys NEW Stadium
After the last actual visit for CCYD to the home of the Ospreys in 2019, we were fortunate enough to be able to be invited to the stadium, now renamed Swansea.com, to watch the Ospreys v Edinburgh rugby match on Saturday 29th January.
We were welcomed by a fully costumed bagpiper and live band inside. The game itself was brisk and the lead changed hands several times. The Ospreys were the more resilient side and won the day, but with a very fine margin.
We are very grateful to the Ospreys Employability Officers for supporting CCYD and the invite to attend. It was a good experience to be at a live game after such a long time enjoyed by all. The pupils who attended were impeccably behaved, a credit to themselves and CCYD.
It seemed like a confidence is building amongst being able to have outdoor visits again as well as a rugby team building in their development.
