Year 8 Seren Event
Some of our CCYD year 8 learners were invited to a Seren event in Pencoed College especially for year 8 pupils, across Bridgend County.
Learners took part in four workshops Computer Programming, Egg throw challenge and Chemistry Kahoot, that tested their skills abilities and knowledge with a discussion to finish regarding building resilience and learning how to look after their mental health.
The learners that went today were a credit to CCYD and also winners of two out of three challenges, a draw on the third!
Thank you to Pencoed College who hosted the day, the BCBC Seren coordinators, who were exceptional instructors and support for all. Also thanks to the guest speakers who were so helpful and kind.
Learners are already looking forward to the next Seren Event at Cardiff University.
