Tackle Project Visits Nando’s
We had a very successful visit to Nando’s in Swansea recently. Pupils were introduced to the background of the Nando’s restaurant chain and how their supportive ethos and work culture operates. Also how they use sustainable products, everything from the food to art in the restaurants.
The training and careers opportunity is of a high priority to the company and the importance of using that as motivation in the work place.
Pupils were given a chance to have hands on preparation of food via strict guidelines, work in different groups ask questions of the manageress and sample some fare afterwards.
All pupils were thrilled with the experience and many of the group were keen to find out more regarding all aspects of the business from dealing with customers to food preparation and potential careers with the firm.
We would like to thank Tina and her staff in Nando’s Swansea who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Also Dorian from the Ospreys for arranging the event for us as part of the Tackle Course. CCYD are very grateful and will take the information on board for future reference, you have helped tremendously, thank you.
