Twelve Year 8 students were invited to attend a STEM trip at Bridgend Ford, Waterton Bridgend. Students were introduced to the Ford company environment and given information on careers. Students then had to use coding programs to function robots and challenge each other to a robot wars. After lunch students were given a tour of the engine plant where they got to view the new Dragon production line. They also got to visit the innovation centre which included seeing drones, VR, 3D printing and a presentation of where Ford are headed.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the day and are keen to attend more STEM trips in the future.
