We were very pleased in CCYD to have a visit from our new Ospreys Employability officer,, Melissa Sartain this week.
We had a very creative lesson based on the popular TV program “Dragon’s Den”.
Pupils were asked to invent an item that would create popular interest and market it for sale.
The group were split in to four and they invented four products to market. Some excellent discussion and realistic targets were met and four products were created. The group then voted for their favourite, based on what each item to could do and desirability. £20.000 was “used” to invest in he products that were the most desirable.
The winning team were:
The winning product “Smart Boots”.
Congratulations to the winners, but most importantly the “buzz” of the creative ideas from all the learners was a pleasure to be a part of with enthusiastic participation from everyone. We have some very impressive business ideas, moving forward.
