Ospreys Beach Rugby Tournament
Wednesday we were able to attend the Annual Beach Rugby Tournament arranged by the Ospreys in the Community with Community Officers at Rest Bay, Porthcawl. CCYD learners were invited to coach pupils from many primary schools in the Bridgend area. Also they ran lines, monitored pitches and supported the touch rugby games that took place over the day.
The pupils in all junior schools were enthusiastic participants and CCYD were excellent support, bearing in mind that this was only their second “real life experience” at coaching.
The day was extremely well run by the Ospreys Staff who also provided the music entertainment and kept the program running over the whole day.
