CCYD Visited Neath TA

CCYD visited Neath TA as guests of The Tackle Project today. We met with several agencies to discuss potential career paths and experience some hands on activities with providers such as Big Ideas Wales, WRU, Army TA’s and The Royal Navy.
Pupils were given a chance for question and answer sessions with all providers as well as listening to first hand experience from staff in the work of work in all fields. This was followed up by some practical sessions, to experience the types of activities that they may be expected to participate in, in each field.
These included communication, mobility, physical skills, problem solving and confidence building sessions.
We would like to thank our Tackle Project Officers Dorian Evans and Nick White for arranging the very enjoyable event and the opportunity to meet with the four other schools taking part in our regional area. It was very big success with our learners, as you can see from the pictures below. We look forward to our first Tackle session of this term, on 4th October,  with a boost of motivation from today’s event.
